Healthcare Initiative Foundation - a 53-year-old philanthropic foundation serving Montgomery County, Maryland - seeks a consultant to develop and launch an updated, mobile-responsive website that reflects its role as a leading health funder and collaborative community partner.
The project delivers a fresh experience for www.hifmc.org: showcasing past and current grant projects, communicating grantmaking strategies, and educating partners about upcoming grant opportunities. Scope includes shaping communication style and language with Board and staff, developing templates and a style guide, interviewing Board, staff and grant partners, organizing content migration from the existing WordPress site, and staff training for ongoing management.
Additional deliverables include building in SEO, coordinating a local photographer (with a written photo/media consent process) to capture authentic Montgomery County imagery, and integrating social media plus the Foundation's third-party grantmaking software. Applicants should have website development and design experience - ideally with philanthropic, nonprofit or health-focused clients - along with accessibility knowledge and willingness to work with the Foundation's IT security team.
